Homo Sapiens collection is an icon of the present age. Its incredible material, a compound of resin and lava from Etna Volcano in Sicily, has unique features, unbreakable, hygroscopic with a soft touch feeling.

The pen was designed under the rules of the Leonardo Divine Proportion.

Following a chronological path, Visconti has been inspired from the source of mystery and mysticism that was the Middle Age.

Visconti has introduced the Homo Sapiens Dark Age where the metal trims are now treated with a super resistant Ruthenium PVD black glossy treatment.

The contrast between the trims in glossy black and the compound material in matt dark grey give to the pen an impressive modern elegance.

The filling system "high vacuum power filler" is made of titanium, the only material resistant to ink aggression.

The fountain pen, available in two sizes, is provided with the palladium nib treated with the same color of the trims to perfectly match the pen.

The pen is provided with the Visconti patented "Hook safe lock system", which allows the user to close the pen by rotating it by only 20°, thus making it absolutely impossible to open the cap by chance,

Visconti lava compound is:

  • Virtually unbreakable, with a high degree of resilience.
  • Flameproof, with a resistance to heat of over 100°C.
  • Slightly hygroscopic, allowing to absorb hand sweat during use.
  • Dense at touch, allowing the best finger-relaxing grip or touch.
  • Unquestionably new, as materials employed in watch cases.

The Lava material is a natural material: when daily used, the pen keeps its original dark grey color, but if the pen is not used for a while or it is exposed to strong light it can become light grey colored.

This is a certification of a real bio material. Regenerating the material, it is simple: just treat the pen with a common moisturizer.
